Endovenous Laser

Endovenous laser is a minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins that is far less invasive than traditional saphenous vein extraction and provides patients with a more desirable appearance due to less scarring. The principle of treatment is to use laser energy inside a vein (intravenous lumen) to destroy the already troubled blood vessel.

The endovenous laser treatment procedure can be performed in the clinic, the patient is fully awake during the procedure, and the doctor will monitor the condition of the blood vessels with ultrasound equipment.

The doctor first injects a local anesthetic into the patient's thigh and creates an opening in the thigh that is slightly larger than the pinhole. Then, a fiber optic catheter is inserted from the wound into the vein. As it travels through the diseased vein, the fiber emits laser energy to cauterize the vein wall. It shrinks, and eventually the entire vein is ablated, completely solving the problem of varicose veins.

After the treatment is completed, the doctor will properly bandage the wound, and the patient can walk as usual and continue with normal life and activities.

After the treatment, the patient can walk on the ground after a short rest, and his daily life is basically unaffected, and he can resume sports after about two weeks.

1.The 980nm laser with equal absorption in water and blood, offers a robust all-purpose surgical tool, and at 30/60Watts of output, a high power source for endovascular work.

2.The 1470nm laser with significantly higher absorption in water, provides a superior precision instrument for reduced collateral thermal damage around venous structures.Accordingly, it is highly recommended for endovascular work.

Laser wavelength 1470 is, at least, 40 times better absorbed by water and oxyhemoglobin than 980nm laser, allowing selective destruction of the vein, with less energy and reducing side effects.

As a water-specific laser, the TR1470nm laser targets water as the chromophore to absorb the laser energy. Since the vein structure is mostly water, it is theorized that the 1470 nm laser wavelength efficiently heats endothelial cells with a low risk of collateral damage, resulting in an optimal vein ablation.

We also offer radial fibers.
Radial fiber that emits at 360° affords the ideal endovenous thermal ablation. It is therefore possible to gently and evenly introduce the laser energy into the lumen of the vein and ensure the closure of the vein based on photothermal destruction (at temperatures between 100 and 120°C). TRIANGEL RADIAL FIBER is equipped with safety markings for optimal control of the pullback process.
